Welsh school warms up with solar
A primary school in the village of Brynamman in Carmarthenshire, Wales, has recently installed the state-of-the-art solar air/water heating, cooling and ventilation system, Sunwarm by Nuaire Holdings.
The school, based at the foot of the Black Mountains, was looking for a sustainable heating solution that would be affordable, easy to maintain and heat classrooms on the north side of the building which are cold, but cool the south facing rooms which get hotter.
With grants from the National Assembly and the Energy Saving Trust, Sunwarm cost the school a mere £600.
Teachers and children alike have already felt the benefits of dramatically improved air circulation and quality.
